About Our Organizational Structure

The Government Arts and Science College for Women, Sathankulam operates under a well-defined organizational structure that ensures effective governance, academic excellence, and student welfare. Our hierarchical framework is designed to facilitate smooth communication, efficient decision-making, and coordinated action across all departments and units.

Key Administrative Bodies

The Principal serves as the academic and administrative head of the institution, responsible for overall management, policy implementation, and maintaining educational standards. The Principal works in coordination with the Regional Joint Director and the Directorate of Collegiate Education to ensure compliance with government policies and regulations.

The Bursar oversees all financial matters, including budget preparation, expenditure management, and financial audits. The Bursar is supported by a team of administrative staff including the Superintendent, Assistants, and other clerical personnel who handle day-to-day financial and administrative operations.

Heads of Departments (HODs) play a crucial role in academic governance. They coordinate curriculum delivery, manage faculty resources, oversee departmental activities, and ensure quality education in their respective disciplines. Faculty members and lab assistants work under the guidance of HODs to provide excellent teaching and research support.

The Librarian manages the college library, ensuring that students and faculty have access to a rich collection of books, journals, and digital resources that support academic pursuits and research activities.

The Physical Education Director oversees all sports and physical education activities, promoting holistic development and physical wellness among students through various sports programs and fitness initiatives.
